Buffalo, NY: The Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame of Fame proudly presented its inaugural set of new annual awards at our annual awards banquet held at the Holiday Inn - Buffalo Airport in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, 08 September 2012. These awards recognize performances and accomplishments made during the 2011-2012 school year.
The 2012 Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame of Fame Annual Awards were presented in conjunction with the induction into the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame of our Class of 2011 (Walter S. Ashbaugh, Cornell '51; Thomas L. Gage, Cornell '65; David C. Munson, Cornell '06; and James D. Ulrich, coach at Fredonia State University) and Class of 2012 (Mark J. Finucane, St. Francis High School, Athol Springs, NY '74 / East Tennessee State University'79; contributor Dr. Alan L. Jones, Binghamton, NY; Stephen M. Machooka, Cornell '64; and Susan L. Schaefer Morgan, Clarence NY High School '77 / Eastern Kentucky University '81).

The Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame congratulates winners of the inaugural set of our annual awards. This history making set of award winners become the standard against which excellence in Athletics is measured in this region. The eight award winners have indeed set a very high standard.
Nominations for next year's annual awards are being accepted now. Any member of the public may submit a nomination. Self-nominations are welcome.
Preliminary watch lists for the 2012-2013 school year are being compiled by our Annual Awards Committee and will be released near the end of the current Cross Country season. The watch lists will be updated regularly during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.

Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame is provisionally chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York. The purpose of the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who made significant and outstanding contributions to the Sport of Athletics (including Track & Field, Long Distance Running, Race Walking, and Cross Country Running) while living within the geographic boundaries (New York State West of and including the counties of Oswego, Onondaga, Cortland, and Broome) of the Niagara Association as athletes (including Masters), coaches, and/or administrators (including Competition Officials).
