Rochester, NY: The 2018 Semifinalist Watch List for the Doriane Lambelet Award (College Female Athlete of the Year - Division 1 Schools) is presented below. Five of the athletes (Armstrong, Hugard, Stoner, Watson, and Wheeler) on this watch list competed at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships that were held in Eugene, Oregon from June 6 - 9, 2018. There are five First Team All-Americans (Stoner three times, Watson twice), one Second Team All-Americans (Armstrong), and three Honorable Mention All-Americans (Armstrong, Hugard, and Wheeler) on this watch list. The other five athletes on this watch list and those on the Also Considered list all competed at their respective 2018 NCAA Regional Championship meet.
The members of 11 person watch list come from nine colleges and universities. The eight athletes on the Also Considered list come from five schools. Between the two lists, ten colleges and universities are represented.
Cornell University has three athletes on this watch list. The other eight schools (Binghamton University, Iowa State University, Providence College, Stanford University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, the University at Buffalo, and the University of Pennsylvania) each have one athlete on this watch list. Syracuse University has four athletes on the also considered list and the University at Buffalo has three. Cornell University has three athletes and Syracuse University has two athletes on the also considered list while Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, and the University of Washington each have one.
This version of the watch list reflects the performances up through June 10, 2018 and takes into account the 2018 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championship results. This is the final watch list of the year.

The finalists (top 3) will be selected from these lists of semifinalists by a panel of area coaches, participants, and nationally-based historians and statisticians.
The winner of all eight of Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame annual awards are selected by the same panel of area coaches, participants, and nationally-based historians and statisticians.
The 2018 Annual Awards winners will be announced in late August or early September 2018.

About the Doriane Lambelet Award
Doriane Lambelet Award: Presented annually by the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame to the outstanding NCAA Division 1 College Female Athlete of the Year in or from the Niagara Association.
Doriane Lambelet Coleman, a member of the Hall of Fame's Class of 2006. A Cornell University graduate, Lambelet was an indoor AIAW Champion at 800 meters and won one US Championship. She is a five-time All-American, six-time Ivy League (Heptagonal) Champion (three times indoor and three times outdoors), and set five Cornell University records. While holding dual citizenship, she was a two-time Swiss National Champion at 800 meters and set numerous Swiss records on the track.

About the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame
Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame and Virtual Museum is provisionally chartered by the Regents of the University of the State of New York. The purpose of the Niagara Track & Field Hall of Fame and Virtual Museum is to recognize those individuals who made significant and outstanding contributions to the Sport of Athletics (including Track & Field, Long Distance Running, Race Walking, and Cross Country Running) while living within the geographic boundaries (New York State West of and including the counties of Oswego, Onondaga, Cortland, and Broome) of the Niagara Association as athletes (including Masters), coaches, and/or administrators (including Competition Officials).
